The company relies on the robustness of its network and stellar relation with the third parties it deals with. Furthermore, Ilera is able to hold on to large inventory levels without having any disruption throughout the year in order to support and supply its clients.

The company is always committed to research and development by constantly investing into state-of the art technologies in the agro-business world. It aims to become one of Nigeria’s key players in the field.

What we do

The company is a solvent extraction, refining and fractionation business based in Nigeria.

The business acquired 50,000 sqm to establish its facilities and installed in 2022 its first milling & solvent extraction plant.

This division currently focuses on soybeans and shea nuts with a current production of 200 Mt per day.

The current product offering is Shea Butter, Soy Oil and Soy Meal

 The business has a network of clients both locally and internationally, the products have been used by leading industrial businesses from cosmetics manufacturers, FMCG manufacturers to industrial animal farms.

Ilera Group

Ilera Group’s is the agro-business division of MC Group. All its subsidiaries have state-of the art facilities and warehouses located on a sizable land in Kano, Nigeria.

The group started its first operations in 2017 with Ilera Mills, which consists of a corn mill producing maize grits and maize flour.

The group expanded the same year with Ilera Snacks, which further processes raw materials into brand leading consumer products such as Trix Cornflakes and Trix Coco. Ilera Snacks produces snacks as well such as Wow Sticks and Frendys.

The latest expansion of the Group occurred in 2022 with Ilera Agro. That division consists of milling and solvent extraction of Soybeans and Shea nuts to produce high quality oil and butter.

Vision

Ilera Group aims to establish itself as an A-to-Z Agro business group in several fields where each division executes a vertical integration to be able to convert pure raw materials into end products.

The objective is to build both a B2B sales channel (selling to other factories that further processes our products) and a B2C sales channel to sell our consumer goods and products.

The vision behind the group’s Chairman is to benefit from Nigeria’s vast natural raw material resources. Contrary to general practices in the country, the company’s goal is to further process these resources in order to create value versus the trading businesses.

Furthermore, the company’s mission is to :

  1. cater to the growing population of Nigeria by locally producing high quality products. This will reduce imports which will majorly benefit the Nigerian economy.

  2. Benefit from the high quality and lower cost production in Nigeria to cater to both local and international manufacturer needs.
